Headlights We can supply aftermarket and stock headlight units for most US Cars & Trucks. As the vast majority of US vehicles are fitted with US DOT standard lights which have a neutral beam pattern they are currently suitable for use without "beam benders" or similar modifications that are needed for equivalent LHD continental European supplied vehicles. SVA & MOT modifications We carry the full line of Cibie/Valeo halogen headlight conversions - these are perfect for converting older imported US vehicles to UK specification - or to simply used just to replace the ineffective stock sealed beam units that pretend to be lights! For late model US cars & trucks, usually all that is needed to make late model US headlights UK MOT/SVA legal is to install white sidelight units - either in the headlight unit (for a tidy factory look) or externally at the front of the vehicle. As most late model US headlights are Composite plastic construction the easiest way is by drilling a hole in a strategic place and inserting a bulb & holder through the hole. WARNING: Some vehicles have the adjustable part of the reflector sealed within the headlight casing - such as the 2002 up Dodge Ram, so you will have to choose the right spot for the sidelight so as not to foul the adjusting mechanism - unfortunately this seems to be often overlooked by some importers who should know better! We supply the full line of APC aftermarket Projector beam & Diamond style clear headlights for late model US trucks and cars together with APC, IPCW, Toucan and other brands of Euro Tail Lights (or Altezza Lights as they are also known). These aftermarket headlight units are a 'bolt-in' fit and usually come with the mounting brackets. Most DO NOT INCLUDE the headlight bulbs - these are sold seperately. Please note that these are USA-spec headlights and sometimes may have different bulb requirements to European market vehicles (eg Chrysler Neon projector style lights use the USA spec 9004 bulbs - but many UK supplied cars have H4 bulbs. We can supply appropriate conversion bulbs & bulb holders if needed)
NB The universal projector /diamond style headlight conversions are available in all the common sizes to fit older US vehicles - and accept standard Halogen H4 bulbs. However due to the shape of the reflectors needed they do not fit all vehicles even though they are the correct diameter - this is the case especially with the 5-3/4 round units which have a deeper than standard reflector design needed to work with the clear lens. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
