RHD Light Conversions We supply a full line of lighting products for MOT & SVA conversion from RHD headlamp units, side-turn repeaters, foglights and reverse lights to convolute tubing for wiring looms. Headlight Conversions We carry the full line of high quality Cibie-Valeo replacement halogen headlights to allow you to convert the feeble US-standard sealed beam lights to bright RHD-Dip Halogen headlights. Apart from the fact that these lights are fully UK legal and E marked (no arguments with MOT inspectors etc) they accept the widely available Quartz-Halogen H1 and H4 bulbs available from ourselves or at most garages, for vastly improved night vision and they are available in the four common sizes used by most US cars from the 1940's to 1990's. Most are available with integral sidelights allowing easy modification of the lighting to meet UK regulations. Please note these are universal fit lights and you may need to modify headlamp buckets and /or wiring on some vehicles to get clearance needed for the bulb holders for the sidelights. We also supply a range of excellent WAGNER US halogen sealed beam units which are not available with sidelights but fit most headlight buckets easily without modification. As with regular sealed beam units however, you have to replace the whole assembly when the bulb blows.
These are required on all late model vehicles - the majority of imported US vehicles will need fitting with side-turn signal repeaters to pass MOT/SVA as their existing turn signal lighting does not meet European specifications . Fortunately this is an easy modification to make - all that is needed is the addition of two small side repeater lights . Normally these are fitted just above and behind the front wheelarch. You could use a pair of lights from any European car (eg Ford Mondeo or Fiesta) salvaged from a breakers yard, however almost all of these require a sizeable mounting hole to be drilled to accommodate them. Our preferred solution is to use aftermarket hi-visibility LED lights. These are available fully legal " E-marked" and are self adhesive - and with only a small 5mm hole being required to run the wiring through the bodywork, they are easy to install.
Rear Fog & Reverse Lights Rear Fog Lights are mandatory on all late model UK vehicles - and a good safety retro-fit on older cars too. We supply basic aftermarket E-marked foglights and reverse lights for MOT/SVA conversions. These light units can simply be bolted to the rear bumper - and include bulbs & brackets.
