Mark's '73 Ford Landau
Australian Fords are not common over here in the UK, despite their awesome
V8 power and the benefits of being Right Hand Drive. Those that did make
it here from down under back in the 1970's are increasingly rare and select
breed. Generally overlooked by Classic car enthusiasts and the UK-American
vehicle scene for years, many of these rare cars ended up in the unsympathetic
hands of banger racers or just scrapped. The release of the "Mad Max" movies
fortunately revived interest in the hand-full of surviving Aussie cars (most
especially Ford Falcons) here but it has also meant that many surviving cars
got snapped up by European collectors who discovered they didn't have to
go all the way to Aus to find one to build their Mad Max Interceptor !
Mark Beale's '73 Ford Landau is a very rare and unusual car - especially
is it is a coupe. There are only two other Ford Landaus in the UK that
Mark knows of. So if you own one of these rare cars let us know and we'll
put you in contact!
This car has been in the UK from new and has a mere 52,000 miles on it. Powered by a powerful 351 Cleveland V8, this is a great example of Aussie Muscle and one you are not likely to miss if you see it on the road!
